It's been a while since our last update, we've been working hard on making it possible to export longer and more complex animations. For example, this beauty below, created by Tom and exported using our plugin @ smooth 60fps 🤩

1. Performance Improvements

When we started working on this plugin, we weren't sure if it was even possible to create a gif/video from a Figma Plugin. We were delighted to find out it was indeed possible 😁.

With our recent updates, we sometimes doubted if we could get any decent performance out of more extensive animations. Luckily, we were too stubborn to quit. There is still lots of CPU & GPU juice to squeeze out, but it's already 10x better than before.

We added loading feedback to give you an idea of the export progress on longer animations.

2. Relaunch button

We added a re-launch button to make it easier to launch the plug-in and export flows. Run the plugin once, and any flows exportable as GIF will have this button right next to the native Figma export button. Psst, you can also share it with devs, who will then see this button (even if they don't have the plugin).

Finally, after weeks of brainstorming and even pitching the idea of building amazing design tools to a VC, we came up with a name 😊
